There are two magical times in NYC: during a snowstorm and just after a snowstorm. I LOVE NYC covered in snow, and if you follow me on Instagram, you’ll get that message loud and clear. I’m so glad I got a snow day for Storm Stella. While I did hide in my apartment for most of the day (I love snow, but I wasn’t gonna brave 50mph winds and ice falling from the sky), I ended up venturing outside for around two hours in the afternoon to do my traditional tour around Central Park for pretty snow photos.
This time, however, I wanted to switch it up a little, so after I went to the Park, I ventured over to Times Square for the first time ever (I don’t like crowds or tourist traps) and braved the piles of snow on sidewalks to capture some snowy street photography for the first time!
This is also my first time editing in Lightroom and I’m so happy with the results. I recently got a new computer which makes doing things like writing blog posts and editing photos so much less time consuming so I was finally able to get some more advanced editing software. I’m very pleased with the results :)
Did you experience Storm Stella? What was it like where you were?
